Sport Rehabilitation

We offer specialised evaluation and treatment of a wide range of sports-related injuries for athletes and any other sports person with a musculoskeletal problem who wants to return to physical activity. This includes people who have had joint replacement surgery or work-related overuse injuries.

First we identify faulty movement patterns and muscle imbalances and then seek to restore full function with the management of muscles and surrounding tissues using manual techniques as well as corrective exercise.

We have been successful in helping not just young athletes and sports men and women, but also a diverse patient population ranging in age from pre-teens to people in their sixties, seventies and beyond.

As well as helping people who have had joint replacement surgery, we have also worked with people who have had:

  • ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction
  • Fracture repair
  • Foot and ankle surgery
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Shoulder stabilisation

We start by developing a treatment plan that typically involves two to three sessions per week at the start, tapering to a single session each week as the patient and condition improves.
